Sustainable Shelford aims to address the problems of climate change, rapid consumption of scarce resources and pollution, at a village level, in the belief that small local changes can lead to bigger changes;

We aim to organise local events to inform, encourage and inspire our community to work together to respond to the problems of climate change;

We will create our own website, to provide information about village-based initiatives, and with links to other Cambridge groups with similar goals, such as Transition Cambridge.

W will search for ways of maximising the use of available resources, such as food and growing space, to prevent waste and encourage sharing with those who do not have these resources;

We hope that our efforts will reinforce and benefit our local community which is one of our most valuable resources
